Civil Sea Rescue
Every day, people fleeing to the European Union die at its external borders. According to various estimates, more than 3,000 people died in the Mediterranean in 2023 alone.
People don’t let people drown! Period.
For this reason, and because the European Union is not fulfilling its obligation to provide sea rescue, I have been involved in civil sea rescue since 2017. I use my skills as an electrician and IT specialist:
- Overhaul of the engine telegraph system and the main switchboard, reinstallation of the generator and engine controls, installation of an electronic nautical chart system and an insulation monitoring system on various Sea-Watch ships.
- Installation of a camera system, expansion of the power supply and configuration of the VSat system on the Mare Ionio.
- Setting up the wastewater control system and expansion of the GMDSS system on the rescue ship Louise Michel.
- Various electrical installations on Sea Eye 4.
- Installation of a speed monitor and overhaul of the generator control on Sea Punk 1.
